S.P.Y makes his return to DARKMTTR with Closer / Void, a two-track journey into the deepest, heaviest corners of drum and bass. Fusing razor sharp production with a cinematic sense of atmosphere, this release is built for the heads - immersive, unflinching, and impossible to ignore.

Closer sets the tone with a brooding, throwback inspired vocal riding over glitch laced, wobbly basslines that twist and morph with every bar. The energy is taut and deliberate, each element adding weight to the suffocating atmosphere as the track grows in intensity. The build is unrelenting, pulling you further in until the drop lands with full force - a dark roller that demands movement while holding its menace until the very last note.

On the flip, Void strips things back for a different kind of impact. Opening with shimmering old school jungle pads, it lulls you into a sense of space before unleashing a cavernous, speaker rattling bassline that dominates the low end. The minimal, stepping drum pattern leaves room for the house music inspired vocal to float eerily above the mix, creating a moody, hypnotic tension. Every hit feels deliberate, every pause heavy with anticipation - a true masterclass in restraint and pressure.
